Just when you think you've seen everything on Poppynet they are breaking new ground even for them.As well as regarding it as cause for celebration if they get to write off 90% of their debts, when the rest of us won't see the Inland Revenue or utility companies let us off 1% off what we owe them, they are now worried about "devious creditors".
Although they don't seem to dispute the debts are genuine, they are not happy that a "nameless bunch" of creditors are "putting them through this" as they try to get back what they are owed.
Assuming Rolls has convinced the Trust to continue paying off the tax bill then I doubt the CVA won't be agreed anyway, as one can see he has experience of ensuring this happens in the past. It would take the taxman to challenge things like they did at Chester City.

That post on Pravdanet is so strange, coming from the strangest poster on there. I was loving his blind optimism earlier in the year but this is just weird.

Re: Desperate measures.....
I guess it depends upon how much rent they owe - remember, our Landlord said openly that he made up the 76% of the creditors required for a CVA, so if they are in the same boat they only need one vote to make it so.

Re: Desperate measures.....
The other debate they are having on Poppynet is whether Rolls will release the CVA list - and yet they haven't seen that he did exactly that whilst at Weymouth - http://www.theterras.co.uk/website/news ... %20CVA.htm

It would be interesting to compare this list with the current Poppies one.

It wouldn't surprise me if KC made sure that he's been getting his rent to date.PigmanRDFC wrote:I guess it depends upon how much rent they owe - remember, our Landlord said openly that he made up the 76% of the creditors required for a CVA, so if they are in the same boat they only need one vote to make it so.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Apparently Rolls has been paying the rent himself. If the only reason he's keeping the football club going is because he can't transfer the lease from KTFC to Poppies Events Ltd then I expect he'll put in the bare minimum into the football club in the next season. Just enough to keep it ticking along, but nothing more. Who would want to manage that?

I see the Weymouth fans have defined "georgespeak for dummies" - http://terras.proboards.com/index.cgi?b ... 028&page=3Sara Pascoe wrote:Apparently Rolls has been paying the rent himself. Re: Desperate measures.....
John Wilkinson has just been on BBC Radio Northampton revealing details of the CVA proposal.
It seems that the IP is, indeed, Carter Clark from Essex who also dealt with Weymouth and RDFC. Surprise, surprise!
