O/T St Neots manager resigns...

Dennis Greene announced on his Twitter account last night that he'd resigned. As yet nothing official from the club or chairman.

Very odd timing.

I find it amazing that this often happens. Look at the Hyde situation. Perhaps the playing budget for the higher league doesn't match the manager's expectations causing such resignations.

Apparently Greene was a big mate of the Macclesfield manager Steve King, so not only have they called off the planned friendly they had with St Neots, they've also poached one of their better prospects - Junior Konadu-Yiadom.

I think that Konadu move has been planned for months. It was definitely in the pipeline late-May early-June.

I agree though, I suspect that 'friendship' had something to do with it.

I think the St Neots managers job would be quite an attractive one. I'd be interested to see who they appoint.
