Good job that cup game is at home or else that would have been 5 in a row away from home!

No Oadby in the opening fixtures then. I was quite looking forward to that one too. A club with a decent fanbase for this level.

Why is our first game "subject to confirmation" and actually why are all games "subject to final confirmation"? Should I be worried about games suddenly changing? I was looking to book a train for the Harrowby game, but now I'm slightly unsure. :)

It's always been the case that fixtures are subject to confirmation, but we still have to get used to things at this level, and we have to bear in mind that we are ground sharing, and also that there are a lot of potential cup games early in the season. WTFC are in both the cup and the vase - as well as some of our opponents - and these competitions take precedence over league games. When there was a fixture backlog in the UCL last season there were a lot of games reshuffled at short notice - and then minor cup games seemed to be given precedence - possibly to cure backlogs.

In the Conference days there was always a need to get a safety committee confirmation before final confirmation of a fixture - I'm not sure how that applies at this level.

You'll see links to the draws at the bottom of the fixtures article.

Our equivalent league in Beds and Herts only schedules games for the first few weeks of the season until they see which teams progress in the Vase and FA Cup for these sorts of reasons.

As it happens there aren't as many firmly scheduled midweek games as expected, so perhaps there is more leeway to fit in replays etc.
