Re: Desperate measures.....
With everything going on over there you'd think they'd be flocking to support someone driving them to drink, rather than the football/club doing it ;)

The big secret to getting commercial events to work is to get the people in the immediate vicinity of Nene Park to attend something that even RDFC didn't manage to achieve.Pigman wrote:With everything going on over there you'd think they'd be flocking to support someone driving them to drink, rather than the football/club doing it ;)

Re: Desperate measures.....
Another good idea would be to put on events that suit the location. A beer festival won't work at Nene Park, it's miles away for most people and people going to a beer festival don't want to have to drive! You'd think they'd just focus on letting out the office space etc, rather than wasting money on events, hoping that Irthlingborough people will attend (which they never have!).

This made me laugh;
from Poppynet;
"There are only two reasons why this festival could flop as I see it.
1. The good beer loving population of Irthlingborough, Finedon, Rushden and Higham Ferrers not being in attendance due to a lack of awareness (keep up the good work with the poster campaign and locally sourced grub Horace ).
2. The good beer loving Poppies supporters not being in attendance due to a lack of enthusiasm mainly caused by the cost-effective travelling and boozing conundrum. (Horace tried but you didn't seem to want a bus)."
What about the third reason that people in those towns have a total apathy to any event hosted by KTFC? It's not that we don't like beer festivals, simply that we don't have any empathy for a football club lodging 8 miles outside of its own borough.

So they know a car crash is going to unfold... and they're just going to watch it happen.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Thats unbelievable!
Their trust ought to be all over taking the club over now, it's their one chance to save it and move it back to K*ttering.
I read that their finances have a hole filled by events and donations of £250k that's awfully expensive for a rich person to pay for their son to play at the club!
Unless its loaned by those who shouldn't be mentioned in return for lots back in interest after 2015

There appears to be absolutely no information coming from their Trust regarding the current situation.bozzer wrote:
