Is it just me that thinks it's just a really rubbish song and a bit cheesy. Please anything but a song with Diamonds in the title.. and before you ask what then, I couldn't tell you - but I thought Beautiful Day by U2 was an inspired choice of theme tune for MOTD, so obviously not that as it's been done, but something like that, that isn't so corny.

Chas, I love corny, as proven by my original choice, which says it all to me:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi1cOdE_waI - I have a very old outlook where music is concerned
BTW, I'm having this at my funeral

 I can only blame/thank my mum for my atrocious taste in music ;) I'm a Matt Monro and Frank Sinatra fan, whay can I say? !! This song has long been a favourite of mine, I find it inspiring.Trek wrote:Love it Jim. But then I remember it from the first time around.

Well it's more preferable to Diamonds Are Forever, the Arctic Monkeys can't even save that one.
I'll put my neck on the line and suggest this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5cJycxaGPs I was trying to think of something that would get the crowd going and I can see the players walking out just as the song proper kicks in at about 26 secs (although I've specifically chosen the instrumental version anyway) so you have a bit of a build up prior to that and I can envisage from about 53 secs on being a good clap along bit to get the crowd going.

Something with a bit of oomph in it that will get the crowd going and inspire the lads.
