Reading the news about the groundshare being stopped by Ladak reminded me of a quote from last summer. IIRC it was Dukes who said 'there are dark forces at work in Northants football' and that can be seen very clearly now.

This seems to coincide with the return of Ladak and JoePoppy on the scene - Ladak was big on having dissenting voices silenced on there last season too with threats of legal action.

Maybe they just want to make space for all the fat ladies popping along to have a good singsong?

This has proved that Jeune is certainly no Rolls puppet, in which case I'm now wondering why he was even allowed to be part of it. I assumed that Rolls and Ladak would've vetted any potential chairman to make sure they weren't going to upset the applecart.

One thing that Jeune has confirmed in his interview in the NT is that there was an agreement about the Poppies moving to Steel Park back in Feb 2009. I guess we all might have our own opinions on why Ladak didn't go down that route, but preferred to move to Nene Park, despite a complete lack of a credible plan to make it pay, without the staff in place to take advantage of the facilities, and with the intention of installing a manager who wouldn't be acceptable to the fanbase. All that was coupled with the evidence of seeing what the Beasants did, what the RDFC Trust did, and seeing the impact of a rent being charged at Nene Park for the first time.
