Andy Burgess
Burge has just posted on Twitter that he is "free and available" for AFCRD if asked.
Does he still play for Corby? Would he be a viable option for us?

Re: Andy Burgess
Personally I think it would be great to see him at AFC.

Re: Andy Burgess
Not practical because of the distance. He left Corby last December and was a shadow of his former self.STAGMAN wrote:be a great signing , trouble is i believe Andy now lives in Liverpool
Wouldn't improve the side on what I witnessed when I watched Corby.

I believe he also has coaching experience, though?Trek wrote:Not practical because of the distance. He left Corby last December and was a shadow of his former self.STAGMAN wrote:be a great signing , trouble is i believe Andy now lives in Liverpool

Just thought I should post it up as I thought his comment was interesting. As well as the Tweet I posted above, he wrote something last night saying something like "If only there was a club I could help out tomorrow..." This could have been directed at anyone, or just a general thought, but it could have been about us.

Fair enough, just thought I might post it up!
From the way the season is going so far it doesn't look like we really need him anyway ;)

Re: Andy Burgess
You really believe that? I take your point about it being ridiculously impractical (i'm not sure why he'd even want to play for us given where he's based) but come on, he's not that bad. There's no way he wouldn't get in our side.Trek wrote:Wouldn't improve the side on what I witnessed when I watched Corby.STAGMAN wrote:be a great signing , trouble is i believe Andy now lives in Liverpool

Re: Andy Burgess
That's my opinion based on every home game I saw him play for Corby last season. He wouldn't put in the necessary effort required at this level. I accept that football is about opinions and that's mine.BartonRaz wrote:

Also he would be one of the lowest earners at the club, with the rest on £2,500 per week
