They also need to have their kit washed. Now that the washing machines at NP are totally knackered they've had to employ outside laundering services. No warm up kit, towels were provided last night as they weren't released by the company since they owed a £300 bill. I suspect their home kit from Saturday may have been retained.

The newly formed K*ttering FC are playing their first game at the moment. Losing 1-0 at the moment, but 135 people are there.

I see KFC lost 2-1 in their first game, lots of positive comments on Ploppynet and about the standard of football in particular - fair play to them. We know how enjoyable the NSYL can be and what a good level of football is played, they're in for a very enjoyable season as we well know.

Can't each player wash their own?
Not exactly a hardship is it?

Wouldn't work, particularly with NP's revolving door. A player takes home his kit after the match then he finds he's not selected by John Beck for the next match, he's annoyed and then decides he won't return his kit the club for the player selected in that position.stamboy wrote: Can't each player wash their own?

Strange isn't it the people currently Lurking behind the Club cannot afford 300 quid to wash the kit, could not afford the 400k to pay creditors but now can Bid a million pounds to try and buy out KC, if i were one of the creditors forced into the CVA i would be crying foul and feel even more shafted.

If this story is true, which I have my doubts, then it would need to be more than £1,000,000 and the only possible person with some connection to the parties involved might be Rolls mate, Brian York the developer, who was responsible for screwing Cambridge City over the purchase of their Milton Road ground.Biggles wrote:.....but now can bid a million pounds to try and buy out KC.....

Re: Desperate measures.....
Couldn't John Beck just get all the players' dirty kit, put it in his washing machine at home with a couple of bio-capsules and some fabric softener and put it on 50C? Surely that's how every club should be doing it. I need to get myself into the laundry business, £300 to dump some clothes in a washing machine! How laundered does the kit need to be, it'll only get dirty and muddy again!
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Re: Desperate measures.....
It seems they might be struggling to field a side today, as some of the players who aren't being played are worried about getting cup-tied and making themselves less attractive to other clubs. With a couple of exceptions I don't think many of them are likely to join clubs that are yet to start their campaign in the cup.
I see one or two of the poppies fans are starting to wonder if they can take their history with them if they form a new club and "buy the name" from a liquidator - I guess they didn't follow the Darlo saga.
They've also started to use the line "it's better to have loved and lost .." which we used when R&DFC went to the wall to highlight the seasons of real success we'd had compared to their many years of mediocrity.
