I hang my head in shame

On Sunday I said that Eastbourne would do us a favour v Stevenage.

WellI went to game last night and it was awful.

It started quite well with EB hitting the bar, and matching Stevenage for effort and they probably were the better side in the first half.

But as so often happens if you dont score when on top it comes back to bite you, and so it was when Stevenage scored before HT. and then again straight from kickoff in 2nd half..

EB then totally dispirited and went to pieces.

For third goal the keeper made an horrendous error,(reminded me of Turley on his walkabout at Luton)
Then they gave away pen and had player sent off ( it took 5 mins for him to leave pitch)

Sub Cole scored pen and two more for 7min hat trick.

At least the Stevenage fans I spoke with were happy especially as other results went there way.

+They do feel a conspiracy creeping up. They think Conference are favouring Oxford and Luton so that Play off final will atrract massive crowd. As they know Diamonds v Stevenage will only attract max 10k

If that were the case, wouldn't the Conference want Stevenage to win the league then? ;)

I wonder whether they'd fill Wembley with an Oxford v Luton playoff final - it would certainly be the biggest gate seen for such a game.
