No chanting or singing from Whitworths until the end when they knew the game was won, but it was all lighthearted!BartonRaz wrote:Mooner is pretty chuffed with himself on Facebook.
Suffice to say i'm pleased we're out. Can I assume due to the lack of negative comments that the Whitworths fans managed to behave? Even if their players couldn't...

Well i forgot about their scorer (i think Judge) who acted like a T**T after being sent off, trying to wind up the Diamonds fans. Shame he left himself down, looks like a good player in the two matches i've seen him in!BartonRaz wrote:That's a relief. At least we've shown again that we can battle back to draw a game in normal time. 518 is awesome (even if some people turned up thinking it was going to be Potton in the league), next Saturday is going to be awesome, 900+.

R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

He is obviously a bit simple, as we film all our matches............I'm sure that the Northants FA would love a copy :o

Were the Whitworth thugs there? A few seemed to think they were told to stay away.

Not sure it'll be that many but there surely will be a hell of a lot of local interest, so I think it'll be 700 or so, should be a good one, absolutely gutted I'm going to miss it and many other games coming up as well being back at uni :(Sara Pascoe wrote:At least we've shown again that we can battle back to draw a game in normal time. 518 is awesome (even if some people turned up thinking it was going to be Potton in the league), next Saturday is going to be awesome, 900+.

Not surprised in the slightest, he seems to have a major chip on his shoulder regarding us, as he showed on Facebook, after the game where we beat them 5-3.BartonRaz wrote:Mooner is pretty chuffed with himself on Facebook.

Obviously disappointed we lost, but it was only a pointless cup, at the end of the day. Let them have their moment, we'll beat them when it matters.

I think we need to draw a line under what happened previosuly and move on personally, everything was fine today. I'd also like to thank the Whitworths guys who helped us with the stewarding today, their help was very much appreciated.
I think it also needs to be recognised that a cheque was handed over at the end of the game and a nice contribution to the Dale Roberts Memorial Fund was made by Whitworths - top stuff guys and we thank you for that fantastic gesture. With Dale's parents at the game today (they took in the U18s game this morning too) it was very timely and much appreciated.

Agree 100%, just a shame one idiot had to ruin what was a very entertaining & enjoyable game.Pigman wrote:I think we need to draw a line under what happened previosuly and move on personally, everything was fine today.
