Today - Fences

Post by Bobos »

Just to let everyone know what was going on with the fencing today.

We have to put up a permanent fence to separate the car park from the playing area by the 31st of march 2013 to meet new FA ground regulations.

So today, we experimented with a layout that will make it easier to steward and also meet the regulations, regarding fire exits etc

I hope that this didn't spoil your day, but we have to be on top of all the things that the FA throw at us.
From a stewarding point of view it made it a lot easier for us today, to control how people came into the ground, and.............this may sound awful, made it easier to catch people that come in late for games. Today we had another 40+ through the turnstiles after KO, which brought in at least another £200 in to the club, and as a community club, this is money we can ill afford to lose.

So a big thank you to the stewards today, and a massive thank you to all you fans for bearing with us.

Oh, and the Hart No1 beer sold out at half time today..............I can see this being a big favourite 8-)

Well done for planning ahead with this. Are Wellingborough sharing the cost with us?

Yes they are.............it has been challenging to be honest, we are learning all the time about certain regulations, but we are determined to face all of them and be professional, unlike certain clubs I could mention 8-)

Applaud your actions. Sometimes decision making is balck and white bud. Whats the worst case scenario each way with a decision? Minimise the damage. Brave call- fair play.
