Academy Teams results 29/09/12

Not a great week in terms of results in academy land as both the Under 11s and Under 14s suffered defeats in their JPL games....however results don't always tell the whole story.

Following a 7-2 friendly win against Wellingborough Old Grammarians Under 12s last week, the Under 11s finally kicked off their JPL campaign away at Arsenal Soccer Schools (Oxford). Finding their feet in JPL football, the lads took a few minutes to get used to the pace of the game at this high level and found themselves 7-0 down at the end of the first 20 minute quarter. However, the rest of the game was much more even with the team conceding only two further goals and scoring one in the remaining 60 minutes of play.

The Under 14s meanwhile travelled to face Hereford United and despite losing 7-0 can take a lot of credit from the game, with a much improved performance getting some good feedback from Hereford United's coaching staff.

The Under 15s had a week off from JPL action.
