Thank you from Rushden & Higham

Post by SL12 »

On behalf of RHUFC, I would like to thank the players, staff and supporters of AFC Rushden & Diamonds for the impeccable way in which they observed the minutes silence today for Chris Ruff who passed away this week. Chris has served local football for almost 40 years.
The respect shown by you was a credit to your club and to the local area.

Many thanks,

Ian Lockhart

You're welcome Ian, football people show respect to football people - Chris deserved every second of that respect !!

May I, on behalf of all R&DFC fans, thank you and all the R&H staff for the way we were treated today.

Result aside, we were treated really well, you'd obviously thought and planned for our arrival and I hope you made a packet today !! Good luck for the rest of the season and I hope we can reciprocate the hospitality shown us to day when you visit the D&D.

I can attest that Piggers and the Duke REALLY enjoyed the hospitality. :D

But seriously, thanks Ian for everything, and a job well done.

Thanks, you seem to be a very professionally run club, and the players were very gracious in defeat.

I agree, I chatted to a couple of them after the game, they'd enjoyed playing in front of such a large crowd and gave a fair assessment of how the game had gone. Very impressed with how things were organised yesterday and will have fond memories of my trip.
