Good to see Leamington were able to get a decent crowd of 200 at short notice like that, each paying a fiver, probably didn't make up for the loss of a league game but hopefully they didn't lose out too much and I imagine they would have been selling the programmes for the game that never was as well.

Having not been at R&D when we were going out of business, I can't comment on any such matters.

However, upon reading all the threads, and my limited experience from attending matches as an R&D fan, I can only say that I hope K*ttering don't go out of existent. Football needs rivalries, that's what makes, football football, and also rivalries are healthy as they spur other teams on, as well as giving the fans something to talk about in a pub or at work on a Monday morning.

Yes I think they are going about it the wrong way, but I still think there is hope for them if they follow our lead and others like us. Ultimately they will have a sound footing and not be at the mercy of owners who very often don't have the fans best interests at heart.

I look forward to the day I watch us beating them when we're a conference team!! :D

The sixth form evening for Year 11's has been moved to Ferrers School.

As it was for all pupils from RCC, Ferrers and Huxlow (might be Raunds as well) then it's not good PR for them in an area and a demographic they stated they wanted to attract, not that they ever did anything about it.

Just wanted to quote solkohn_legend from one of the messages in the thread Sara Pascoe linked to

They'd be exactly the same if it was us, they made their bed, now they must sleep in it.

You certainly have, you certainly have

That's right - and we did follow that up with various meetings with David Suddens to find out what the real situation was regarding the takeover, but the group was always too small to stop the assets being given away to secure what was relatively speaking quite a small initial loan.

Memories can be very selective methinks.
I was also very new to the area at that point but it was very clear to me that, at the time of the decisive Fans Forum in the Kimberley Suite when Paul Hadjuk presented the case for the KC takeover, there were a number of vacancies on both the football club board and on the Trust Board available to be filled by critics of the deal - including you Formic - had they really wanted to exert some influence on the running of the club.
The reality of the situation was that those Board vacancies had, to a large part, been created by members of your 'opposition' group rushing to resign from those Boards the moment 'the going got tough' and the personal financial risks attached to remaining on those Boards had been made plain to them.

It's not fair, or right, to condem people for resigning from anything if it puts their careers at risk through time or home and family at risk through personal financial risk.

Nor is it fair for those who chose not to take those risks, to criticise those who did.

Just because KTFC Fans are bitching amoungst themselves don't mean we can start bitching over old ground, the past is the past we have a future and let this thread continue on its way about the sorry saga of KTFC.
