Kevin Pietersen not performing for England

Post by srusrdfc »

Kevin Pietersen has not got any runs in the One Day International Serious verse Bangladesh. He has got 49 runs in the 3 match serius, is it time to let someone else have a chance at number 3 and make him work for his place in the team?

Dominic Cork has just made a very valid point on tms. When Vaughan was struggling, he was given a lot of time, when Collingwood was struggling, same. I think we have to leave KP in for the rest of the Bangladesh series, as we should be able to afford to carry him. However, if he does not find form at the start of the county season, then we have to consider it. Maybe the start of the new season will herald some sort of change, and all will be well imo.

He hasn't been right since losing the Captaincy and he was hardly on fire during the Ashes last year. I think he needs a break from the team, the series against Bangaldesh should have been used to blood more second string players anyway. Give Pietersen time back in county cricket and IPL and let him find some form with less scrutiny on him, we will need him back and firing to have any chance of beating the Aussies this winter.

He has been mainly off form sence the end of the 2005 ashes and now he is at his worse form for england. i think he has had anoth time and its time to drop him and make him work for his spot in the team. We could bring in Bell, Shah but there will be lads on better form that will do a better job than Pieterson atm.

Would Australia drop Ponting after a disapointing couple of series? Tendulkar? Gayle? Afridi? No i dont think so.

KP is a world class batsman and can change the course of a test match in an hour. His form will come back i have no doubt so it's a no brainer.....KP plays, simple as that!
