Nope, those are sensible questions not the sort of thing Football Administrators go in for.coltrane wrote:Some of the questions are, When will the electricity bill be paid and the power be reconnected? When will the players be paid? What is being done to solve the clubs problems? Who is in charge?
They will be asking the colour of blazers they intend to use, will they have a nice new club crest, will the club ties be with a stripe or plain ,will the half time snacks be available for their next visit, etc.

This revelation that an eleventh-hour deal may be in the offing with new investors parallels what happened with R&DFC, and the smokescreen created to try to deflect blame away from the real culprits for the club's demise.
It will means that gullible Poppies fans will blame the Southern League when they throw them out, using the line "we almost had a deal with an investor, and an arrangement to play at Corby" - when in fact neither of those situations was likely to happen.
Of course, we don't know if the Southern League is also as gullible. Even the Conference seems to have wilted under the pressure of seeing possible blame heading their way for Truro's demise, and has accepted yet another "rescue offer" that looks like dragging their demise into the new year.

What was stupid about the Truro thing was that the final deadline had passed and they still accepted the offer!Formic wrote:This revelation that an eleventh-hour deal may be in the offing with new investors parallels what happened with R&DFC, and the smokescreen created to try to deflect blame away from the real culprits for the club's demise.

It says it all about KTFC and its fans that today is the day that their future could finally be settled and rather than be a hive of interest and rumour mongering, Ploppynet is crazily quiet.

The Southern League would have to be very sure of their position if they allowed this for at least two reasons.Sara Pascoe wrote:Seems they'll be playing at Corby...
1. It would set a huge precedent for any other club to take the same steps when they didn't fancy paying their landlords / utility companies.
2. It would be following the route that the Conference took with Chester City in failing to deal with them in October 2009, only to see them fail completely before the end of the season, with even more results being expunged as a result - http://www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=2677

They were being bankrolled by a multi-millionaire property developer (or something along those lines - he was involved in property anyway) The plan was for them to become the first Football League side from Cornwall, and believe it or not, eventually the first Cornish Premier League side.TwinkleToesTomlin wrote:What happend at Truro? They got from Step 7 to Step 2 in 6 years, before said Chairman's empire went to the dogs and he was declared bankrupt in August this year.
