You're right, I wasn't there today so am probably shielded from how bad it was.
As for criticism of Newman, I was referring to Sara and not yourself Raz, and as for Aysnley, I'll stand forward as saying I think he hasn't been that impressive this season, both in defensive positioning and distribution. However, considering we got humped and have given away four goals in the first game he has missed, he can come back immediately please! (Do I qualify as not being naive by picking a new player out for criticism, or just clueless  ;) )
My faith is based on the U18's, who, without checking, were getting dicked 7-0 at Cogenhoe before their stonking second half of the season. I'll be the first to admit though, that we cannot give away points like we have done in the last seven days if we are to hang around with the top three positions - and this has to be the target for this season (as Starms has repeatedly noted).
It is frustrating to have a League Cup match next Saurday, before a now very important game with Raunds. If I were Starms, I'd be tempted to play a full squad on Saturday if only to help this lot work it out together.
I also agree that a front three might work well, because anything that gets Wiz directly involved in the majority of attacking moves at the moment can only be welcomed. Newman will bed in, I'm sure he wouldn't have been taken on by Sileby if he had very little to offer.
At the end of the day:
We got out of jail at Olney
We drew away at Wootton
We drew at home to BPW
We could've been 2-0 down at HT against Thrapston
We've been smashed 4-1 today
These are not positive indicators, but I'm still holding onto the genuine positives and good signs. We will come through these results. For every comment that says Sileby might have beat us 8-0 today, remember how this league varies. Oadby lose at home to a team we beat 3-0, while we just drew 1-1 with a team who will also be right up there in BSM.
Bring on November!
