Desperate measures.....
Re: Desperate measures.....
Don't give up Paul as then the conmen and shysters win, be part of the fight back with the fan owned movement, it gives me a warm glow to think that in a small way we screwed KC and his plans with KTFC after he thought he killed us off forever.

Now i hate Rangers with an absolute passion (spot celtic leanings ;) and loved ktfc. But wrong has to be punished regardless of anyones passion.Theyve all got away with it and have chance to recover. IMO football is getting harder to take seriously. There is little in the way of morals and respect and the football authorities dont seem to use/have any authourity. Last few days im wondering what the point is. If you cant compete with some degree of fairness across the board then im starting to think there are more constructive ways to spend saturday afternoons. sorry rant over.
An understandable rant though Paul.
I really believe that people are waking up to the way that football has been allowed to get away with business plans, that no other business would be allowed to get away with 8-) 8-)

Having read Paulk's post I agree 100% and as one of the people indirectly that have been screwed by KTFC for £1000's, I am determined (with others) to make KFC work, we have a clean club, a club I want the local business community to be proud and a part of.Duke of Wimbourne wrote:paulk wrote:In business terms - portsmouth , rangers , K*ttering town and several others would be finished. No players signed, no "investors" announced, tonight's WTFC match called off.
It's a good job they weren't kicked out of the SL and forced to stop trading!

Re: Desperate measures.....
The Corby Town chairman was on R Northants last night, and was more than happy to help KTFC - but it appears that KTFC haven't started any formal discussions about playing there at the weekend, despite his offer. He said that this makes it very unlikely they'd be able to play there as the arrangement needs approval from Corby Council as well as other things like Safety and Insurance certificates, all of which take time.Mawsley wrote:No players signed, no "investors" announced, tonight's WTFC match called off.

As we all suspected, its looking likely the November 9th date won't be met - and perhaps now the Southern League have followed due process they will take action.
Re: Desperate measures.....
I cannot understand why the teams who are being scheduled to play against KTFuC don@t put in a claim aginst them for players expenses, media arrangements, stewards, programs, loss of gate receipts and push it on the league to persue. There would then be a pretty quick method of action taken to compensate losses, otherwise there will be another few clubs in the same situation.
Re: Desperate measures.....
KTFC people just walzed into Corby's Ground Yesterday without any warning, I know Sadact lives in his own world but does he think that the previous agreement to groundshare (which never was taken up) still applies and he needs no new permisission to play in Corby.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Most of the matches have been called off with sufficient notice that their opponents hopefully wouldn't have lost out financially. Except for gate receipts, obviously, but they'll get them later on in the season once all is sorted at the Ploppies and they are able to start playing matches again. Which will be around about the same time that Pigman finally learns to fly.FOOTYMAN wrote:I cannot understand why the teams who are being scheduled to play against KTFuC don@t put in a claim aginst them for players expenses, media arrangements, stewards, programs, loss of gate receipts and push it on the league to persue. The WTFC game was actually cancelled last week I believe.
