Chris Hope

I love the guy, he was captain last time we beat the scum at home, but is he destined NOT to score for us this season. A goal disallowed and now a penalty missed??? I hope he proves me wrong and gets a hatful

He celebrates his 40th birthday in ten days time - I think he will score his first goal for the club in the very near future.

Hopefully he'll score the winner at Wembley!

To be fair he'll be embarrassed to claim it, although it was a decent header the goalie pushed into his own net from the six yard line.

From where I stood the goalie was on his line, falling backwards as he helped the goalbound header into the side netting. Definitely Chris's goal in my opinion.

I can confirm that the 'dubious goals panel' met on the PDB within 10 seconds of the goal being scored and were unaminous in their decision that it should be awarded to Chris. The goalkeeper had already suffered enough. :D

We had decided that after the keeper's quite outstanding save from Wisnecki's header in the second minute he felt he had done enough for the evening so didn't bother trying to save anything else
