As crazy as it sounds we are only a few victory's off top spot. If we keep grinding out these result's you never know, but i'm sure we'd all be content with a play-off place!
Re: Top Ten post Chester 06/03/10
Ok will people stop talking about winning the league? There is very littel chance of it happening! Even if we did catch one of the other top two teams, the other one would surely win the league. FOr us to win the league is not mathematically impossible, i accept that, but it would take a catestrophic run from BOTH Stevenage and Oxford, whoc have had reasonable runs of late, grinding out victories much as ourselves. We need to stop focussing on winning the league, and shold be more concerned about reaching the play offs which are not nailed on certainties. We are in a very good position, and it will only take favourable results for us in the week to make us strong favourites to make it imo. However, it will only take a massive defeat to either Wombles or Mansfield, and we will be right back in the dog fight of trying to make the play offs.
Lets all just focus on the play offs, and once we are guaranteed to get there, then let us consider the possibility of anything else. One swallow doesn't make a summer, one win doesn't make us world beaters, although im sure one defeat would make some question whether we will make the play offs.

Good post. I don't think next defeat we should even contemplate questioning this team. That is not to say it will happen, but things have now opened up with York now being dragged in. I would be surprised if Oxford or Stevenage are dragged in as well, but at the end of the day, let's take each game as it comes and see where we end up.jimbobjaw wrote:Ok will people stop talking about winning the league? Incidently we're 4 points on the post Chester table from matching last season's overall points total and 7 goals from last season's total goals. I know we all know how far things have come, but the stats really emphasise it.

Thats not even sensible. It IS mathematacally possible. Otherwise nice to be so positive.

That's what he said, albeit in a different way. ;)rudolph_hucker wrote:That's not even sensible. It IS mathematically possible.
Is not mathematically impossible = Is mathematically possible.
