...........no not THEM, but poppies for our brave boys and girls, both past and present, who have served this Country so proudly and helped protect the freedom we all enjoy to lead the lives we all do.
On Saturday we are hoping to have some volunteers from the Royal British Legion at the game selling poppies - please, please give generously. There will also be a minutes silence held in rememberance of all those who have given so much to so many.
This is a cause very close to my heart, as I've said previously, the RBL helped my mum after my dad's death with the installation of a stair lift to enable her to have a full and active life, my dad having been serviceman back in the later 1940's - this is all about raising much needed funds to help servicemen and their families. In my mum's case it gave her the freedom to overcome her mobility issues and have a far better quality of life.
Wear your poppy with pride this weekend, it means a lot to so many people. Thank you.
