By that logic though you could argue that whoever finishes second deserves automatic promotion.super noodles wrote:It looks like second place is probably going to either Stevenage or Oxford and with them so far ahead, whoever doesn't win the league out of them deserves a playoff final place IMO.

I just mean if anyone's going to get a bye to the final it should probably be one of them. The next two teams that aren't K*ttering can play the other game.

I'm fairly sure he said he had and I quote "confirmation from a member of the conference board" and that he would be speaking to him shortly, I turned the radio off so I don't know what happened after.Biggles wrote:Confirmed by who ???
Sorry but just because a radio journalist says so does not mean its official.
The way this League is run and the way rules are set in stone one second and ignored the next i would not take the word of a radio journalist pickig up gossip and turning it into dodgy facts.
The Official deadline was the 1st March but we know how the Conference board does not like making a decision and with Kettrin actually having talks this month with their Landlord over the lease the rumours i have heard is that the deadline has been moved to the 31st March.
So until a official statement is made on the matter i would not right off Kettrin just yet.

I think if they were to change the rules part way through the season then there might be a legal challenge to that by clubs who could be perceived to lose out.
The Conference is run in a shambolic fashion, we all know that, but they followed the rules precisely to expell Chester to prevent a legal challenge, I don't think they would dare for a potential promotion place.......................would they????

I wouldn't have thought so. They only seem to have broken the rules to let Chester in due to blackmail from the Football League.PigmanRDFC wrote:I think if they were to change the rules part way through the season then there might be a legal challenge to that by clubs who could be perceived to lose out.
