.......is a real possibility for us tomorrow night, time for strong nerves methinks !! I fully expect Luton, the scum and York all to win, that'll leave us outside of the play-offs, a game in hand on the scum, but level on games played with York and Luton. We'll also be 11 points behind Oxford and 10 behind Stevenage if results go as I think they will............any outside chance of the title having gone.
Nice to see the table with the Chester points expunged, I can see where we are now............must be my old man mind, but I was having difficulty working it all out after each game
Raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease RIP Dale Roberts - gone, but never forgotten!!
Real possibilty yes but tbh I think there's also a chance of us getting at least one good result tomorrow night.
Luton aren't in fantastic form, they've lost to Crawley, Wimbledon and Ebbsfleet in the last few weeks and have a patchy home form.
The scum have just won their first game at home in 5 months and despite a rubbish away record, I wouldn't have thought Cambridge will be that easy for them
And York have had some shocking results recently, beaten by FGR, Ebbsfleet, Barrow and Eastbourne in their last few games so I'm reasonably confident the results won't be completely against us tomorrow night
I was on a bit of a high when I saw the table with everyones points from the Chester games chalked off. When it was announced on the Friday before the k*ttering game we were 6th(?) with games in hand. Now after taking 7 points from 9 since then (whilst missing important players) we are 3rd and the pressure is on other teams to win their games in hand. I think that is a real result for us and credit must go to the team and management. I know we have played badly in the last two games but we have still taken maximum points which is the sign of any decent side and something we haven't done for a few seasons. Whilst i have enjoyed the good football on display up until now I personally couln't care less if we win ugly for the rest of the season.
You would expect all three to win but none have been particularly consistent. York appear to be going through a mini crisis. Luton Vs Forest Green may produce a surprise as the latter beat York on Saturday and are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table. As for K*ttering Vs Cambridge, United are unbeaten in their last four league games.
I'm in a "glass half full" mood .
Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.
With 6 of our 7 promotion rivals playing tonight you would hope for at least one slip-up.
Crawley have got to be a decent bet to get something against AFC Dons, Forest Green are the only team to win at the Kassam this season and as mentioned beat York on saturday.
You'd expect Stevenage and Oxford to win and probably the scum too, but I think York, Luton and AFC may provide at least one slip between them.
Crawley Town v AFC Wimbledon D
K*ttering v Cambridge Utd H
Luton v Forest Green A
Oxford Utd v Hayes & Yeading H
Stevenage v Barrow H
York v Salisbury D
Surely we can discount Oxford and Stevenage as our rivals? Thinking about the title at this point of the season is unrealistic surely? Oh and it was Tamworth not FGR that won at the Kassam, FGR managed a draw though.
Can't see them getting anything at Luton though, the best hope for us is Cambridge getting a result at K*ttering and Crawley damaging AFCW's chances significantly by winning.
