I'm guessing this one is in pretty serious doubt then with 4 days to go? Would certainly be very disappointing if it gets postponed for midweek, really looking forward to the Wellingboro derby, we may be able to beat the Thrapston crowd if it's on.

It's absolutely thraping it down here, I see no chance of it being on (barring a small miracle).

the forecast is for the rain to stop just after lunch today and then no more until 27th, it depends how much water is on the pitch as to whether it clears before 26th.

Can't see it being on myself. The ground is absolutely saturated and around me in the Welland Valley it is as bad as I've seen it since the mid 70's. The EA will be controlling the sluice gates along the Nene downstream from Northampton but as they allow more water through then the area around the Dog n' Duck will have more groundwater. I would even suggest Saturday's game will under threat.

looking on the EA website they have contained all the water they said and haven't had to open the gates yet, if they do then it will be completely underwater, but their last comment was that the river levels would continue to decline.
