Unfortunately any further rain will prevent Saturday's match going ahead. Let's hope our next permanent home ground is not in the middle of a b****y flood plain! :evil:bozzer wrote:wet and windy apparently!

Unfortunately flood plain land is cheap and ideal for sporting locations, the one negative is when the river does burst! Nene Park is on flood plain as well don't forget.Trek wrote:Unfortunately any further rain will prevent Saturday's match going ahead. The difference with Nene Park is that it was a pitch that was designed to accommodate heavy rainfall and only two fixtures succumbed to heavy rainfall issues. One in the late 90's when the Air Wair car park was flooded and one in the final season of RDFC when there was standing water caused by a blocked drain at South Stand/PDB end.

Some forecasters are predicting up to 7 inches of rain between now and the weekend....when will we ever see a game of football again? :(

I think if it was just our matches called off then it could be called a frustration that the d&d was in a flood plain but the amount if rain we have had has caused loads of games not on flood plains to be called off as well, even Wimbledon v cobblers
As much as it is a pain!
