Hoping to see more of Aaron King next week, looked like he could be very decent and looked eager, though a bit too eager with that slide tackle 30 seconds after he had come on ( though thought it was perfect, he won the ball I thought and can't see how it was a booking tbh). And very good performance and deserved victory, not sure how Chenecks beat Bugbrooke, but as much as I don't want to be negative, it was however another game where we struggled to take our chances again and were lucky for the 2nd, yes 3 points is 3 points, but once again we had come up against one of decent teams we may not have got them.

Win`s a win`s a win. Should have pushed on in the second half. The final third is still a problem in comparison with teams above us, not clinical enough, and many balls threaded through found strikers on their heels or not quite on the same wavelength. Nice win for Ken , along with a nicely observed silence and minute`s applause.

Sileby ended up with only 9 men in their loss to Rothwell Corinthians in the NJC.

Believe it, I verified the count.

Another win, another clean sheet, more goals at Raunds would be nice but as long as we win I don't mind. :)

My heart jumped when I saw that result, thought it was a league game! Still think they're are beatable, but will two wins be enough? Where will they drop points?

Hopefully them and Oadby will draw and Eynesbury have already beaten Sileby once and only lost narrowly to Oadby, so fingers crossed they can do us a favour again, but it will still require us to win just about every one of our remaining 20 games. I'm not sure whether we'll finish in the top 2, but I hope that we at least can go into the Oadby game at the end of March with a chance still, cause it will be nice to have an exciting finish to our first season, even if we don't quite make it!

The thing is, looking around the other step six leagues, we would comfortably be in the top-2 in just about every league on our current form. Unfortunately we have Big spending Oadby and Long Buckby's Prem winning side in our Div. It's just bad luck.

Indeed, shame our league isn't like the championship, where half way through the season, you can afford to have lost 8 games and still be in an automatic promotion place
