I havn't seen yesterday's attendance listed anywhere but according to the statistics on the 'non-league matters' web-site they have an average home attendance of 40 with a highest of 50 this season and rank 18th out of the 19 teams in UCL division 1. ;)sussexdiamond wrote: How many watched Whitworths yesterday?

Re: Attendances
I didn't mean members as in subscribers, I meant members as in people who register, with this club as the main interest = the diamonds forum. I haven't made any other comments on this subject.Diamondsforever wrote:This isn't a members forum Footyman, it's an unofficial forum where everyone is welcome.
Whilst I'm happy to see debate, I'm a little concerned by some of the comments I've seen today - please refrain from name calling etc, it's not necessary. If you're in any doubt as to what is acceptable, have a re-read of the forum rules please.

Re: Attendances
I wasn't specifically having a dig at Whitworths. I am genuinely amazed that so many clubs exist on such small gates. hardly anyone in the level 3 (Ryman prem etc) seem to get more than 300 max and many only get double figures.
As mentioned having a good social club well located does help tremondously but not all have that.
As I said a few must be working their socks off just to keep these clubs going. We have a good number working very hard fundraising....God Bless you Joan....but any more I am sure will be well received.

Re: Attendances
As we travelled this season, the ingenuity shown by clubs to generate income away from football has been quite astounding. Most we have met are more than willing to share their success with us and when we do get our own facility the only thing holding us back will be lack of volunteers to do everything we need to.
All to often it's easy to think
"They don't need they are doing a good job"
The people involved ARE doing a great job, but with more hands it could be so much better.

Ralph made some good comments on the volunteering front in Saturday's programme - and it was good to see some different people getting involved with helping out in different areas.
Re: Attendances
We have so many volunteers doing their own bit , with a lot doing jobs that you don,t see, ie Theresa washing the shirts for example. But i would be interested to know the total if anyone has any ideas i think it would surprise a lot of people.
