I haven't posted about the u16's for a while as we have only played 5 or so games since the start of November, but I figured and small update is nice for those who may take an interest in the younger teams. I also feel that the lads deserve a special mention for todays result, as Great Doddington are currently top of the League having scored around 77 goals in 11 games (if I remember correctly) before todays game. They beat us convincingly 7-0 earlier in the season so to get a 1-1 draw (and good value for it) today shows how much progress is being made. It also means the we become the first team this season to stop them winning (not taking in to the game they forfeited for canceling last minute). The last 3 results have now been a 4-3 vs Uppingham, 3-1 vs Corby Kingswood and todays 1-1 draw since the turn of the year shows that good progress is being made, and with these guys moving to u18's football next year, you never know, you may see 1 or 2 in Mark's u18's team next season :-).
It was also nice to see Steve Whitney at the game scouting some of Great Doddington's players for his WTFC team.

Agreed, we get a tad wrapped up in the first team sometimes, its important to recognise the achievements of all our sides, and this shows the tremendous development these lads have undergone - well done all !! The future is bright for us, thats for sure !!

Rob, you`ve got every right to blow The Scorpions trumpet . I said the day before that it would be a yardstick for how well the team has progressed, and so it has proved to be. Keep up the good work, Everyone else in that division will sit up and take notice
