On the basis of that he would miss 3 home games against Eynesbury, Whitworths and Sileby.

Liam Fox should definitely have got a red card - even if the ref didn't see the poke in the eye the linesman certainly should have. There does seem to be a reluctance on the part of referees at this level to consult with their assistants.

I can't understand how the ref didn't see it. From the highlights it's looks as if he's looking straight at the incident and blows his whistle straight away!!

I was standing down the same side as the linesman and I said to him "Why wasn't that a sending off too". He replied "That's not a sending off mate!" So he clearly saw it but considered it a minor offence!
