I thought the issue with that game was that you didn't need a ticket, or at best you could buy one without having to give the club all your details?

If we were to give Luton the PDB (and I don't know why anyone's even discussing this because it will NEVER happen!) then I will be buying a ticket from the Luton ticket office, and taking up my usual standing spot. My inevitable murder will not be sufficient reason to take up residence in the Airwair, even for one game. ;)

No..!
I suggest we give Luton the PDB and South Stand - I know this might pee off some PDB and South Stand regulars, but if they are treated properly, explained why (need to maximise revenue in these hard times), given time to select seats of their choice well in advance of general sales, then there shouldn't be a problem surely??? It just needs to be handled right with good communication and effective customer care.

- make it all ticket (no brainer)
- give Luton the whole of the Air Wair and the whole of the North Stand, relocating NS season ticket holders to the South Stand (or half and half these stands if stewarding can be done safely).

Give Luton half the ground .............or more if they can fill the seats. I know this might pee off some North Stand regulars, but if they are treated properly, explained why (need to maximise revenue in these hard times), given time to select seats of their choice well in advance of general sales, then there shouldn't be a problem surely??? We should see this as purely a money making venture, if we were to get 3000 Diamonds fans to the game I'd be surprised. 3500 Luton fans? A piece of piss frankly. Wouldn't it be great to see the stadium sold out.............first time since Leeds that'd be wouldn't it???

I really hope we get a good turnout of home fans on Saturday, there will be few Gateshead fans there, my guess is we'll get about 1400 in total though - it hasn't got the pullingmpower has it? With the bigger games coming up (Oxford at NP, scum away) I think some people will save their money for those games, hope I'm wrong.

Fortunately I won't be making the final decision, as you know I was relieved of my position at the beginnning of the season.

My thoughts and understanding are that Luton will be offered the whole of the Airwair and the 'away' area in the North Stand, to the right of the press box. There may be some discussion regarding the 'away' area in the South Stand but that is slightly more difficult to segregate/steward when full. The club will make it all ticket to both home and away fans, should it be tight at the top, when the tickets go on sale. Those on the database and having purchase history this season will get tickets fairly easily, those on the database but with a chequered purchase history make have to complete an application form, that will be reviewed by the safety team and a decision be made thereafter.

This is just my opinon, it will unvail in the next few weeks.

Hopefully see you there, if I can get a ticket  ;)

Certainly a big dilemna, of course the club wants need to make as much money as it can from this sort of game but giving half the ground away certainly has it's downfalls. Don't know why people are talking about giving them the PDB, it's never going to happen in a million years, there'd be some very unhappy regulars! Personally I think they should be given Airwair and the two unused sections of the north and south stands if it's possible from a policing/stewarding perspective, which would give them around 2700-2800 fans which considering is not far off half the ground, I think is perfectly reasonable, don't think we want anymore Luton fans in our ground than that! I'd say we'd have a chance of attracting similar numbers if we needed a result, maybe a few less as it would be a hugely attractive game to come and watch.

Will certainly be difficult controlling Luton fans though, no matter how many tickets we give them or how much we tell them not to turn up on the day without a ticket, you can be sure there'll be plenty that will and as someone previously said they could probably fill the ground if they could. A big police presence will be needed, just got to hope it doesn't matter too much for Luton otherwise who knows what their fans will be like :?

At first I was all for getting as many of them in as we can and hopefully taking some serious money from gate receipts, food and drink etc and getting in 5/6000 fans. I have no doubt that Luton could fill the stadium on their own if there is anything riding on the game.

The reason I changed my mind though was when giving them the PDB was mentioned. If i was unable to spend probably one of my best Diamond matches ever in my spot on the terrace I would be very annoyed. And obviously it will be the same for all those who sit in the N/S stands.

I think we should give Luton the whole AW, and either 200 ish each from the N/S stands, or 500 ish from the South, which would probably be easier to control from a segreagtion & policing point of view, as they will be restricted to two stands

I would like to see 5,500 fans there if the Luton Town game still has things up for grabs. They should open the snack bar under the North Stand becuase at the K*ttering Town game they never and the ques in the Peter De Bank were massive and you could not get anything at half time.

Giving the Airwair stand to Luton will be sufficient. If we give them any more then we might as well conceed home advantage and play the match at Kenilworth Road.

Didn't seem to help them much earlier in the season though did it? ;)

Many apologies BD, I'd forgotten that  Old age is my only excuse (just goes to show, excessive alcohol does kill the little grey cells  ).

I think what supporters generally need to consider is the future of the club. When I see people saying "I won't move" it irks me a bit. I want to be on the PDB for the Luton game and all games, but I'd move in a heartbeat if I thought in doing so I was helping the club to thrive and prosper into the future.

I just think it'd be a shame if we turned people away that day and ended up with a less than capacity crowd. IMO all fans should be adaptable for this one and think of the future financial stability of the club - IF we go up, we'll need all the money we can get........................come to think of it, we do anyway !!

If we win on the last day and secure a play-off spot I woudln't care where I was, sat, or stood !!
