Danny Bird to Rothwell Corinthians...
The curious case of Danny Bird. ;)
According to UCL Facebook page he has gone to Rothwell. Is this a loan deal or has he gone there permanently? Any plans to have him back here?

Re: Danny Bird to Rothwell Corinthians...
His move was mentioned in the UCL newsletter a couple of weeks ago:
Injuries bite deep at Corinthians
Rothwell Corinthians continue to suffer with injuries as the season progresses.
Shaun Morris has been a long term casualty with a knee injury while brothers James and Dan Denton have both been sidelined with a chipped hip bone and ankle problem respectively.
Striker Ian Hay is back in training after his ankle injury.
Two new faces at Sergeant’s Lawn are AFC Rushden & Diamonds central defender Danny Bird and midfield man Callum Hornigold from AFC Kempston.

So its a permanent move then? Shame if it is, as he was quality for the under 18s last year, and was rightly named the player of the season.

He was never registered to play for us. Turned up to a couple of training sessions in the summer, got injured, played cricket and it seemed that Starms lost interest in him from what I was told.diamondgeezer1 wrote:So its a permanent move then?

Re: Danny Bird to Rothwell Corinthians...
Feel I should correct a couple of points on this thread.
1/ Danny Bird was registered as our player for a good 4/5 months although this doesn't necessarily mean that he came to training... ever.
2/There are loans in the UCL and indeed in all football at this level, but loans are only applicable to players under written contract. Since the majority of UCL players are not under written contract, they cannot be loaned.
