Same here. A World cup win first I can't wait another 40 years.
I know mate - another 40 years and you'll have had your letter from the Queen ;) , and will struggle to get up the steps into the pub to watch the final
I'll probably be pushing your zimmer frame out of my way mister.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

Diamonds to go up without a doubt. I would just feel more of a part of it than if England won the world cup. Don't get me wrong both would be great but if England wonyou get to enjoy it (and I mean really enjoy it) for a month or so. If we go up from the playoffs we get a great day out at wembley, more money for the youth set up, a (hopefully) new set of businesses trying to support the club through sponsorship, away grounds that some fans may not have visited, the cool football league lettering on the back of our shirts, our goals will actually be shown on TV again, increased media coverage, maybe just maybe some of our old fans returning to the club.....and so on.
Seriously even if I knew we would come straight back down I would take the Diamonds at Wembley option.

England world cup win would do nicely, along with an Arsenal Champions League and Premier League double, and of course another Diamonds promotion.
Wonder what the odds on that would be?
There's only so many chance's you can see your country win the World cup in your lifetime (15-20 times) where as you can witness your club possibly win every year.
As Phil says 'been there, done that' (but not saying i would'nt want it to happen again!)
we're gonna be the luckiest bunch then, cause we're going to witness both in the same year! ;) touch wood, 1 finger crossed, pray to football gods etc etc
Diamonds to win the play-offs, then England to win the World Cup with Tomlin netting a hattrick in the final after a late call up to replace Rooney who will have to withdraw with the obligatory metatarsal injury.
