Is that the third or fourth time that we have subbed the goalie due to injury?
Whichever it must be some kind of record.
Losing Quincy for any amount of time would be a blow, but that's the reason we have a squad, Ash is more than capable of stepping in.

To echo what many have already said, I`d have taken the draw at k/o and half time, but to score two in quick succession (the memory will live long) and then to have victory snatched away, was hard to take. The hundreds filing out of the D&D were pin-drop quiet.
Sileby are n`t all that. They were poor again, and , how can I put this, "professional". Celebrating like they`d won the cup in front of the DeBanke at 1-0 , served only to stoke up the fire, which backfired on them when the glorious double was scored. For players that are "slumming it" in Division One, the only thing different from the other three contenders is their chances to goals ratio. They`re pretty clinical when they need to be.
We can`t rely on teams further down the table to help us out, and the head to heads will decide the victors.
We missed McBride in midfield, and depending on Quincy`s injury, four weeks at least on a bad hammy, it`ll be a nail-biting finish to the season.
Bring it on. :P

Still gutted. Not worried about Ash though, he's come in previously and not let in a goal. Nice to let the Sileby players see a crowd for what must've been, at most, the 4th time this season.

Go to be worth seeing if we could get young Broady to come home for a few games, great keeper with a big physical prescence

I honestly thought that we were going to hold on for the win last night. I'm still really gutted that we didn't. On the balance of play though, I thought a point was a fair result, They were first to every second ball in the first half, and closed us down quickly (like we did at their place in the 2nd half), which meant that we struggled to find any rhythm or cohesion. I said to my Dad at HT that we would come back, and that we'd see a massive improvement in the 2nd half. Safe to say, we did. Both goals were a bit of a blur to be honest, but I'll certainly never, ever forget the jubilation and sheer pandemonium in the De Banke after both goals . Nights are made of memories like that. It shut Foster up as well
Especially after Alfie's goal, where I lost my voice (and still haven't fully recovered it!). Naturally, we dropped back, trying to hold on for the win, and apart from the 1-1 which Ash saved brilliantly, they didn't really threaten. Until the fluky equaliser, due to a major deflection. Still really proud of the fightback shown from the lads last night though, and not many teams will take 4 points off Sileby this season (if any). Parkinson was my MOTM; felt he dealt well with the lively threat of Byrne and Foster in the first half, and helped to limit Sileby to next to nothing in the second half.
Can't wait for the Oadby game now, which I can (hopefully) get to

That crazy minute in which we scored 2 goals will live long in the memory that's for sure. I absolutely lost it.
Yea so did the radio. Went off at half time at 1-0 down came back on in the second half 2-1 up. We only heard the two away goals :(
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

Nights like last night, are why I am so proud to say I am a AFC Rushden & Diamonds fan. Great atmosphere, great performance, just a shame we couldn't hold on for the win.
The Pandemonium after our goals in the De Banke, is something I will remember for a very long time.
Like a few others have said, we've taken 4 points of them, which not many teams will do, AND I think we made them look very average.

They are bang average, stop them passing through the midfield and all they do is panic and HOOF. If the other sides had some wits about them they could take points off them. I was certainly expecting much better and now having seen them twice I don't think they'll go up. What a waste of money that will have been...

Looks like they spent all their money on Foster and Bryne and forgot about the rest of the team!

To be fair to them on that pitch I'd keep the ball in the ait as much as possible and play down the stand side. I thought their manager was going to sink in the quicksand by the dug outs at one point.
