Sam brown seems to confirm it was an Oadby official involved on twitter. Coming to your point about Oadby, I think they played well knowing a point as good enough for them today. I remember when we played them at their place i didn't think much to their defence at all, Today i thought they defended quite well and got men behind the ball.Olly wrote:TheIncognitoKid wrote:Excellent point considering we were down to 10 men for so long. Looked a definate red, only thing i'd argue is that did the foul start outside the box? Hat's of to the rest of the side who not only got back in once but twice. Best goal of the season so far from King, a stunning strike! Like already said on here, not sure if a point will be enough, we may have to rely on results elsewhere going our way even if we win all our games. Some trouble after the game near the players entrance in where an Oadby official seemed to have thrown a few punches towards someone!?![]()
I saw some scuffling at the entrance but couldn't clearly see anything unfortunately, but shocking if true. But in regards to the table, Sileby are 6 points ahead if they win their game in hand and Oadby are 4 points ahead if they win their games in hand, so only a minor miracle will be enough now, Oadby have to play Eynesbury and Bugbrooke, but other than that, not sure where they'll drop points, but I thought they were pretty poor today considering they had a man advantage for 80 minutes.

The 10 men performed fantastic and probably should have won with Jake and Lance's chances. I thought the 2 centre halves were very good. Wizz done well filling In at right back, to miss 2 of the out back 4 and to perform how we did we done well. I think it was Matt Gearing best game for the club, jake ran his socks off up top alone and what a goal by kingy.

Got such mixed felling, so proud of the team, the fans and the club as a whole, I was right behind kings goal, that's definitely goes in my top three, shame it couldn't be a winner, quincy didn't look fit today and his mistakes have cost us big time. Lets just hope for a miracle but Mondays game is going to be a another tough game for us
As for planning for next season I hope quincy doesn't see this but I would like us to sign the rothwell keeper, he's had two good games against us

I thought this was our best game of the season by far. To be down to 10 for so long, and knowing how they ripped us apart in the 2nd half at their place, every single Diamonds player out there this afternoon believed that they were no better than us and they certainly proved it today. Thought Wizz was immense at right back but would of given 10 MOTM awards if I'd of been match sponsor. Great performance all round.

Yet Rothwell have let in 67 goals this season. Quincy has made mistakes yes, but he's also saved us this year.sandringhamdiamond wrote: As for planning for next season I hope quincy doesn't see this but I would like us to sign the rothwell keeper, he's had two good games against us

To man I thought our ten men where surperb. How far we come from the away game. I refuse to have a go at Quicny, as yes he made a mistake, but by god in the second of the season he has saved more points than lost.
Kings goal has to be the best live goal I have ever seen, itgs a shame Newman's one on one didn't go in, and if Lance had usae his left foot.
All in All, the good thing I saw in Oadby was they are not as good as Silbey, and I believe they can and will drop points, as with 10 men we had the better chances and should on chances have won.
Shame about the sending off, but the ref had no choice Deaks got caught and just tried to hang on to him, bit of mistake on his part.
I did chuckle hearing about their official, didn't see it, but it shows they may be a bit up themselves
What ever happens this season, its be immense, and next season I believe we will take the league apart with this team.

Agreed, I feared the worst going down a goal and a man at 10 minutes, it was a nightmare start, but my god did they respond well and the effort every player put in was fantastic to see, King's goal was beautiful, even better than Oadby's goal in January and the best I've seen for AFC for sure. Real shame none of Alfie, Jake or Lance's chances went in, to win that would have been amazing.Basil wrote:I thought this was our best game of the season by far. That's what Goalkeepers are for? Of course hes going to save us more points than hes lost, every goalkeeper in the land could claim to have that ratio. However Quincy has lost us too many points and more point i would say than other GK's in hes position.ron manager wrote:I refuse to have a go at Quicny, as yes he made a mistake, but by god in the second of the season he has saved more points than lost.

Didn't see the Deaks incident so can't comment. Great work from Jake and and striker's finish from Alfie, who I thought had a great game. Kingys goal was just brilliant.
For their second it was not a foul, the worse dive I have seen in the UCL and the referee got conned by it. I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt after Tuesday, but today proved he's not up to it. He's one of those refs that wants it all to be about him.
Oadby fans, who were brilliant through out, should be thoroughly embarrassed by their teams behavior on and off the pitch. Half of the them didn't look bothered especially Stevenson who only showed an interest when the ball was at his feet and the language and behavior of their manager and coach at the end of the game was disgraceful.
I not worried about them though, what we saw was probably the best performance (bar Sileby away) of the season.

It's a tough one as i don't think your going to get an amazing goalkeeper at this level. I dont think i've seen a better keeper against us and even Yaxley, a team a league above, had their keeper to blame for us grabbing a victory. I only think he should be replaced if a decent keeper came our way, not just look to replace him!Rushdenjim wrote:That's what Goalkeepers are for?
