The Match Highlights are now online too - with an excellent interview from MoM Chris Hope that provides a lot of insight on the club in general - well worth a watch.

Cracking interview by Hopey...
Just out of interest how is it decided who is being interviewed after the game? Is there anyone that hasnt been interviewed yet and can they decline? Just curious

Manager is always interviewed, occasionally Peaksie. The player interviewed is always the nominated MOM. ;)corby diamond wrote:

The Man of the Match is interviewed after the game - and I don't think there has been an issue getting anybody to speak on camera. There have been a few games where no MoM was awarded, in which case the club captain speaks instead. If you want to see who hasn't been MoM yet you can look at the player profiles on the OWS http://www.afcdiamonds.com/player_profiles or as listed in the programme in the big grid of games and appearances. Ironically, I think the current player with the most league starts who hasn't appeared on camera as MoM is Elliot Dent.corby diamond wrote:Cracking interview by Hopey...

What Trek said.
When I do them I always ask Starms for his thoughts first off and then get into specific incidents a bit more, try to get an idea of why subs were made or any tactical changes and check or any injuries.
Some of the players are more nervous than others, I have to say that they never refuse to come out and always answer my questions, however inane. If they are comfortable in front of the camera then we do try to have a bit of banter, but if not then we stick to their performance, the season in general and how they see the club.
Chris was a great one on Monday and a real enjoyable experience.
When Bruce is around we take it turns, one of us will interview the Manager, one the Player.
On occassions we do get other people from the club on camera, Peaksy and Biff have both been on as have Ralph and famously Jim and "Do it, Do it now" Bob.
I have asked opposition managers if they want to be interviewed but so far none have accepted.

An extra point to add. For home matches the Sponsor chooses the Man of the Match. For away matches the board gets their heads together and chooses who Ralph says

Clearly the largest attendance in Northamptonshire on Bank Holiday Monday and 190 more than attended the other derby between Brackley Town and Corby Town in the Blue Square North which is 4 divisions higher in the non-league pyramid.Formic wrote:.....I think today's attendance (581) will double the gross attendance to date at Victoria Mill.

i dont think you can class that as a derby & Brackley dont have a huge support anywayTrek wrote:Clearly the largest attendance in Northamptonshire on Bank Holiday Monday and 190 more than attended the other derby between Brackley Town and Corby Town in the Blue Square North which is 4 divisions higher in the non-league pyramid.Formic wrote:.....I think today's attendance (581) will double the gross attendance to date at Victoria Mill.

Of course it's a derby and damn sight more than the recent Ipswich/Peterborough 'derby'. Even the Northamptonshire Telegraph called it a 'derby'. ;)mackemcobbler wrote:i dont think you can class that as a derby & Brackley dont have a huge support anyway

It does, however, highlight the extremely poor support that both Brackley and Corby can muster from their immediate community.
