They're part of the same county so i'd call it a derby. Ipswich and Norwich arn't in the same county but is seen as a big derby, albeit the east anglia derby.

Brackley fans don't class it as a derby theirs is V Banbury United have'nt a clue as for Corby K*ttering or Stamford i supposeTrek wrote:Of course it's a derby and damn sight more than the recent Ipswich/Peterborough 'derby'. Even the Northamptonshire Telegraph called it a 'derby'. ;)mackemcobbler wrote:i dont think you can class that as a derby & Brackley dont have a huge support anyway

It does, however, highlight the extremely poor support that both Brackley and Corby can muster from their immediate community.

Can only be classed as a 'derby' when they're in the same league. Can't recall when Corby/Stamford have competed in the same league and the last time K*ttering played Corby in a league fixture was season 1971-2.mackemcobbler wrote:Brackley fans don't class it as a derby theirs is V Banbury United have'nt a clue as for Corby K*ttering or Stamford i suppose

Groundhopper comments on the two Bank Holiday games. Interesting comment on the Dog and Duck ground.
"Amongst many other hoppers doing a UCL 'double' tick
Prem at 'The Dog and Duck Ground' admission 6 pounds, programme 1 pound.
KO 12pm - Wellingborough Town 1-0 Irchester United, att about 100 ish.
Apparently the ground has been seriously upgraded since AFC Rushden and Diamonds have moved in, if so, the result is pleasing, possible the best ground in the UCL Prem? Very nice stand, terracing behind goal nearest clubhouse.
Freezing cold here, chill factor high.
Game did not help, truly awful, two poor teams, MOM being Irchester keeper.
Then 'over the fence' for...
Div One at the Victoria Mill Ground, admission 4 pounds, programme 1 pound (good).
KO 3pm - Whitworth (or is it Whitworths?) 1-3 AFC Rushden and Diamonds, att about 500 ish.
Possibly biggest ever gate here? Vast majority supporting AFC.
Better game than over the fence, and wind dropped, so more bearable.
Two scrappy goals gave AFC first half 2-0 lead. Adding a third in the second half, a tidy finish. Whitworth getting a consolation near the end after some dithering in the AFC backline."
