All I have to say is great game, great passion after our second goal. The guys that ran on the pitch were not in the heat of the moment they had verbally abused stewards fans and the ladies in the tea hut! Unacceptable at every level! The volunteers are here to help our club run its simple. Nobody is asking people to go beyond their means but it's OUR club it's not the chairman or any member of the board. It's yours it's mine and its the guy that stands next to you in the crowd! I

If your trying to point out the highest attendance then you still wrong. The highest was 827 against Oadby ;)diamondgeezer1 wrote:
What a game, possibly the best atmosphere at the dog & duck at one of our games all season. Great attendance, which I mistook as being the record attendance!!! I forgot the Thrapston attendance  (a few of the guys who do, or don't follow me on twitter, will know I made the mistake!!!)

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the majority of the Eynesbury squad played for St Neots at some point, I know their keeper did for sure. Correct me if I'm wrong... again! ;)Jemfy wrote: They stopped the wingers from getting forwards very well, hassled Sean and dropped an extra man back when out of possession to deal with King. They had a trio of forward players that really stood out to me that I would love us to speak to. I hold no illusions of if they would want to come or not, but I'd love us to have a word over the summer. They weren't bad at the back either. I would be curious to know where these players have come from, how long they have been there, and (not that anyone knows or would say) what they get paid. I noticed they had no shirt sponsor to even offset the cost of the kit, so I'd also be curious as to where their money comes from.

The Incognito Kid was trying to say that the attendance was the highest at the Dog and Duck for an evening match.

Good god, came on here to look at a the comments about a great nights footy and get this
1. Board members threaten to resign/leave!!
2. Fans turning on each other
3. Fans/Board Members moaning about the work they have to do.
jesus guys, chill out,
1. Board members threatening publicly to leave is just ridiculous, if you feel that way, wait the the end of the season and stand down, don't spout it on here, very un-professional
2. Fans turning on each other, grow up its not K*ttering, there was and also will be with this size of support idiots and people that let their mouths go, nought you can do without proper stewarding, see below.
3. Sorry guys, you put yourself up, the responsibility is yours, don't moan on here publicly about it, again un-proffessional (allought maybe its only one or two)
Now if I lived anywhere closer I would sign up to the board and do everything I could to help , as I do feel that the size of the club and support match days need more than volunteers doing it as it does come across as a couple poor sods being forced to were high vis, and maybe more professional stewarding. Granted this costs, but I sure I can think of ways of doing this at low cost (need to think about it)
If you want me to be a board member from a distance, then shout me in, I can bring alot, but hey Im out spoken and you might not like what I say.
I see it as only four stewards needed, I also know someone who is a trained profession steward with qualifications that I can have a word with if you like.
PS, People like chas and Ralph, are people that I admire as I have seen nothing but professionalism from them, and fully respect where the current board has got us, I think its just grown so big so quick its caught a few out.
NOWW.... onto the fotty, what a night, the terrace sounded brill, probably louder than most Nene Park days, keep that up

I think you need to read the posts again Ron, at no time have Board Members threatened to resign, actually we have to stand down and apply for re-election. My point was that if something don't change then there will come at a time where some don't think that it's worth all the hassle and won't put ourselves up for re-election.ron manager wrote:Good god, came on here to look at a the comments about a great nights footy and get this

Personally I've loved this season. I've met loads of great people I wouldn't have met otherwise, I've enjoyed the football and want to do it all again next season. But better.
Any ideas you have will be gratefully received, and as for being outspoken, then all I can say is we've obviously never met.

I think I went through every emotion last night, when brown scored you could see how much it meant to everyone of us but can't believe that 4 kids YES 4 KIDS ran on the pitch is the talking point.
If any action is taken against our club it would be a joke, what's to stop and what would happen if these kids turned up at sileby and ran on the pitch when sileby scored, people would just say bloody kids and move on, lets not let this ruin a great night and what could hopefully be a great end to the season
Don't really wanna spend my evening reading all these comments but its a massive overreaction. I think our stewards/volunteers/board members are a absolute credit to our club, I can't volunteer for various reasons, I've been to about 95% games this season and believe me its not been easy to get to so many but I loved every moment, I like to think in a couple of years I'll be able to give more to the club and would love one day to be a board member, this is probably the same with most fans.
So come on guys lets stick together on this we are 3 games away from promotion!! we are all in this together!!!

I'm not going to talk about the muppets - they don't deserve the effort and after the abuse they gave to me personally and to many other hard working volunteers, frankly I enjoyed throwing them out!! I'm just disappointed they dragged the good name of our club down and I hope we don't see them again !! They claimed to be fans - well those sort we can do without !!
To the important bit - the match !! Haven't got the time to say much, but I'm very proud of the lads last night, I thought Eynesbury did really well and nullified us for much of the game, made us play their game, not ours. It was a thrilling match I thought, full of emotion and when Sam scored - wow, such a response. The ref gives things as he sees it - we'll often disagree, thats the nature of the game and the talking points are why we love it so much.
Next Tuesday, our last home game - I hope people (you !) spread the word and ask your fellow fans to stay off the pitch at the end of the Whitworths match. This has been a terrific season and I want to see OUR lads do a circuit of the pitch and have the opportunity to accept the much deserved applause of the crowd - if you all run on the pitch we'll have to get the players off quickly for safety reasons and we'll miss out on that opportunity to thank them. Whether we win, lose or draw the match, get promoted or don't, its been a tremendous first season and one we can all be very proud of - I want to really show how thankful we are and for ALL our fans to show their appreciation, not just those fit enough to run - so please, stay off the pitch and let us celebrate a great season - make the PDB rock in celebration of a great season, you'll make more noise staying there than running on the pitch
