In my opinion, no one should question the boards/volunteers commitment, to put it bluntly they work their arses off to make our club a success and to get a game on each week, and don't forget they do all of this for FREE.

We should be commending them, not having a go at them, like others have said, without them we would have no club.

on an earlier part of this thread, about penalties - didn't Chris Hope miss one near the beginning of the season, or was that in a pre-season friendly?

I am really saddened by the lack of positivity after a game which puts us within touching distance of promotion in our first season, regardless of specific incidents which happened during that game.

It does seem at times like everyone is against AFC R&D, but despite everything we are still in there and fighting and as the match report on the UCL website puts it, we took "a big step towards promotion" on Tuesday.

I would like to see everyone unite and get behind the team - I know that the manner of the draw was frustrating and I know that there were some incidents involving the behavior of a tiny minority of attendees at the match which were unacceptable. There will be time to analyse such incidents and take mitigating action in the closed season.

There are lots of things to smile about from tuesday - the attendance was fantastic, Sam Brown's goal was superb, Alfie may have missed a pen but the character he showed to keep working and ultimately set up the equaliser was brilliant and the noise from the DeBanke was immense.

Let's congratulate each other on the things we've done well and go into Saturday's game with nothing on our minds other than 100% support for the lads.

I wouldn't worry about it AK, for some reason when people get on their computers/smart phones that's what they like to talk about.. But if you was to ask the same person or anybody at the Whitworths game, "what did you think to last Tuesday?" I'm sure they'll respond by saying how good Sam browns goal was or how shite the referee may have been. It's just one of those things!

Took my grandad for only his third game of the season, (bpw and Basford were his others) and he was surprised how much we've improved. He loved it and rightly so, that game had everything!

I must admit I'm still not overly confident about promotion, but I suppose that's what makes it exciting! Bring on Saturday!! :D

Agreed the father and son that I know who came for the first time since football league days really enjoyed themselves. The football, the atmosphere and being able to have a pint and a chat with old friends made their evening and i'm pretty sure they'll be back if not on tuesday then next season. :D

First of all i will say well said than man
I aint going to turn round and say i aint commented on the small minority, because i have. Lets just say once again that the line shouldn't be crossed, which unfortunately it was, BUT thats in the past now and i aint going to open another can of beans as the can thats already been opened has nearly been sealed...So ill leave it there

Its just sad that sadly the fans who do spoil it simply tarnishes the whole day and i aint refering to our game, the newcastle v sunderland, the millwall v wigan, and its a shame that there were some t*ats in the stockport crowd at kiddie who decided they would pitch invade and assault players, Had kidderminster had won and Mansfield slipped up then they would have taken the title...Imagine the kick up if all people talked about was the trouble instead of the celebrations...

I know our match is nowhere within a million miles of that scale, however its a world where debate will always take over the good...
AndyKirkup I can clearly see what your saying, i aint so sure about your point that everyone is against AFC, take these morons out and will anybody have a bad word to say about the club? probably not. I bow down to all the hours all the board and volunteers puts into the club to make it a success...

But there is no doubt in my mind that the past will now be forgotton and we will all be there on saturday hopefully bringing the 3 points home!!!

Now everyone keep your tea and pints in your cups!
