He was a football coach @ Kimbolton School. I remember getting that little bit more excited when we played them. :lol:corby diamond wrote:And this might be a complete random question but does anyone know what Chris hope does for a day job?

Wasn't the best performance by a distance last night, but at this stage of the season, the result matters much more than the performance. Jake was too isolated; the space between him and the midfeild was too much at times. Both Alfie and Wizz struggled to get into the game in the 1st half, but although Whitworths had quite a bit of possession during that spell, I thought the entire back five dealt well with any threat that they did show.
As previous posters have said, once Lance came on, and we changed to 4-4-2, we looked much more comfortable. This formation is a must on Saturday; stick to what you know, I say. I felt in those last 20-25 minutes, we were able to get the wingers into the game much more, and Jake had some much needed support. Saying that, my MOM last night was Kingy, who since the Oadby game, has really impressed me. Don't get me wrong, I knew we had a really good player on our hands when we signed him, but his performances against Oadby, Raunds and Whitworths last night have been particularly impressive.
Just a quick mention for Sean being awarded the Player of the Season as well. Fully deserved in my eyes. He has a terrific engine, gets across every blade of grass on the pitch, and can pick out a nice pass as well. His performance in the Oadby home game was the best individual performance I've seen from a player this season.
1 point needed on Saturday. I can't wait

You have to commend Whitworths as well. For the first time in four meetings they've come out and tried to play rather than fight. Whether that had anything to do with Matty Freeman starting and Matt Judge being on the bench who knows?
There was a twenty minute period when they were all over us but couldn't get an equaliser. By then Freeman was buggered and any calmness they had in midfield was lost.

The front two, mainly number 10, kept running and trying to close everything down for the majority of the match and forced the defence into hurried passes or clearances. I thought they might tire and they did, making the score line look more comfortable than it wasSouthRushdenJFC wrote:You have to commend Whitworths as well. Only just been able to comment.
Thought we made hard work of the 4-1 win, credit to Whitworths they tried to play football, and didn't lose their discipline when they went behind, like they did at their place.
Also I know he gets stick because of his comments on the UCL Facebook page, but Steve Sargeant wished us luck on Saturday when we saw him after the game, whilst we were cleaning the changing rooms.
Also hope that guy next door at Whitworths, has a speedy recovery.
