Congratulations to Sileby, it was a hard contest all season long and anyone who tops the table at the end of the season deserves it !! We can take solice in the fact that we went on a 22 game unbeaten run that included a win and a draw against the Champions !! Morally that gives us the crown I think ;) :D

Seriously, well done to them - let's see what next season brings !!

I wonder if there was a pitch invasion

But seriously well done to them, will be interesting to see how they do in the premier, if they keep their squad we could be battling at the top of that league as well!

we'd have topped the league easily but after alfie got his injury we trod water for a few matches, till we got going again. two losses all season, i'd have taken that at the start of the campain.
well done sileby.

Any idea how many were there tonight? Probably will be more at our U18s game Thursday evening ;)

About 100 I'd guess - although I didn't spot what I'd call a Sileby fan - quite a few friends / family of the players, but no sign of any cheering from the sidelines as the players collected the trophy and sang an ironic "can you hear the Diamonds sing".

 Awwww bless them - they heard us at their place when we beat them, they heard us at the D&D when we should have beat them ;)

Champions sure, but they couldn't beat the Diamonds :D

Congratulations to sileby on winning the league. Enjoy your moment because next season we'll not be so accommodating. ;)

Spot on, and just how many years has it taken them to gain promotion to the UCL Premier Division? ;)

With all the players they brought in from the Step 5 champions, I wouldn't begrudge Sileby the title - their big challenge now will be to see if their money man will finance a tilt at the UCL Premier Title, or whether the players and management will move off again.

There was a bit of a sense of Deja Vu with the Sileby celebrations last night, as I'd seen Glenn Botterill and many of the same players celebrating 12 months ago in a similar way as when they won the UCL Prem title with Long Buckby - Darren Watts, Greg Ling, Michael Byrne, Mark Hewitt, Tom O'Brien, Stuart Smeathers, David Glass etc.

Apparently the before the game started the league secretary told Sileby that a draw would not be good enough and they needed to win as the Wotton Blue Cross points could be revoked meaning a draw would mean Sileby would of been second on goal difference.
