Just out of interest, is there any chance of having a 'league news' page on our OWS? Including stuff like this, transfers, results etc? I'd certainly use it.

They don't need to worry, there is a managerial vacancy at Oadby Town. ;)

We do publish the monthly UCL Newsletter, which has all this stuff on an official basis. There is also a series of interim updates published on the Full-time site - http://full-time.thefa.com/DisplayNews. ... ue=1625657. We then have the stats page which has things like the league table and form guide (plus the attendance data when it gets published officially), with links to league data such as goalscorers, held on the official league site.

As you can see, the key there is that it's "official". To get a more frequent update you could sift information from other club official websites - but as we've seen, very few of them get updated. I certainly wouldn't be happy publishing anything based on information from unofficial sources, even if much of it may prove ultimately to be true. I wouldn't want to lift information from other UCL "news sites", as some of them (not Pitchero) seem to rely on local newspaper stories.

For example, an obvious news story is the Wootton v Oadby postponement - but there's nothing official anywhere on the cause, even on the Oadby website, which is one of the few that does get updated.

However, its not my decision, so if you (or anyone else) is prepared to put in the time and effort to create such a service, and think you have a source of valid information, I suggest you put it to the club board - I believe they are meeting in preparation for next weeks Fan's Forum shortly.

For what I know this doesn't happen very often, it's usually a case of managers walking.

I wonder how impressed the committee were if the rumours that they picked the team out of a hat for a game that was in effect a title decider on Tuesday?
