Thanks for last season but no big deal to be honest. I thought the goals ratio to chances was pretty average. The strikers that start the season will be significantly better quality.

I've got no problem with players wanting to better themselves, but when said player signs for our biggest rivals, that in my eyes is not good.
Best of luck to Jake, I just hope he doesn't live to regret his decision.

I don't really care who he signs for, any player who makes the decision to leave the club, doesn't want to play for us and we are better off with them leaving.
Good luck to him, let's see who the club want in the squad and who wants to be part of the next step of progress.

honestly though, good luck to jake,i was unsure when he came and i said he didn't look like he wanted to be here, then he started to to score(and didn't stop)and looked at home, becoming a fans favourite.i personally think he will become a bit of a journey man (a bit like millsy) nothing wrong in that, but it would have been nice to see him stay for another season but hey ho ,come on starmsy whos next ;) ;)
good luck jake and thanks for some great memories![]()
(and check your bank balance every week ;) ;) )

Yes Dukey! Love to see Reynolds get a go in pre-season! Cracking young player with a big future in the game. Great finisher as well with both feet and his head ;)

Could have had a decent future at Diamonds, we're a club on the up with a chance of winning things with a decent following & a quality bunch of players.
Instead he decides to join a club in a sharp decline, a club who last season couldn't even field 11 men at one point, playing terrible football in front of quickly falling attendances.
I'm sorry, it may be 1 level up, but is it not a step up in quality what so ever. They will be probably get relegated this year, where as we can fight for promotion.

Well if the rumours about what he's been offered are true, then I really don't think anyone can blame him for the move, obviously I don't know the ins and outs of the deal, but it may be simply the offer was too good to refuse, rather than he didn't want to play for us anymore.mattreddan wrote:Could have had a decent future at Diamonds, we're a club on the up with a chance of winning things with a decent following & a quality bunch of players.

I know its easy to slag off Kettrin and say what a bunch of losers they are, however RJ and the trust have done a great job in keeping them afloat. They are spending quite a bit of money at Burton and have it seems a large budget set aside for the team for the Southern Central, so to right them off for demotion is just wishful thinking from rivals and not based yet on any facts.mattreddan wrote:Could have had a decent future at Diamonds, we're a club on the up with a chance of winning things with a decent following & a quality bunch of players.

For the sake of young Jake and others signing on at Kettrin I do hope that RJ has fully looked into the amount of debt Sadact will pass to him when he finally hands over ownership and is fully aware of the size of the pound of flesh KC will extract for the cancelling of the lease at NP.
So either RJ has deep pockets or has a silent partner helping him along as the final bill to extract Kettrin from the Doo Doo is going to be massive and this week East northants Council suddenly chucked in the empty premises Business rates bill, how many other hidden bills will surface for their tenure or lack of use of Nene Park.
So good luck Jake and if you read this get your lucky rabbits foot out and pray for a full year of wages.

For me it's an unwise move I hope he doesn't regret. The kids got a lot of potential IMO, and I think our management team are probably the best locally to get that out (wobblers aside). All the points about being one footed, and his tendency to waste chances just don't was with me frankly, given his age and the level we are still at!!!
I do think this opens the door for another striker though....
