Darren Watts the best goalkeeper in the Division? Who voted for that. he was the weak link in that team.

Agreed! Also I'm not sure how you can have a Buckingham player in the 'team of the year' when most of the good ones responsible for their upturn were only there since the start of the new year. I think McBride, Brown and possibly Lance Allen should be in that side. The Sileby strikers also have a case for inclusion.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:Darren Watts the best goalkeeper in the Division? R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Sam Brown and Sean McBride are the obvious omissions.

Re: UCL Division One `Team of the Year`
Watts won Managers Player of the Year at Sileby, who along with Diamonds conceded the least goals all season. I'd expect that with the keeper change from Quincy to Cross he probably would've kept the most clean sheets in the league too.
I would imagine Wormall from Harrowby would be disappointed not to have been included up front after scoring 11 more than Bassett and 14 more than Stevenson! Although those players did seem a class above in general play..

Re: UCL Division One `Team of the Year`
Very surprised that the top-two in the league only had three players in the list combined :? .
Who are Marsala and Parrish anyway, don't recall them at all? Jeremy Biggs must just have seen them on a couple of good days?
Possibly agree with the inclusion of Freshwater and Bassett, and Stevenson was a class apart on his day. But where was Wormall? Possibly even Foster deserved a mention too.
Definitely not Reynolds as well, Sam was miles ahead of him this year.

He was actually the central defender for Eynesbury Rovers who had that very good game against us at the Dog n' Duck.UttoDiamond wrote: Definitely not Reynolds as well, Sam was miles ahead of him this year.

Should have more than 1 Diamonds player in it. Taylor and Newman should have been in it.
