However, purely on the basis of numbers, I still think we're a CB short (just Hope, Deaks and Brad/Gilly as cover ATM??, what's situation with Parky?) and possibly a winger and CM.

Seems to suffer from illnesses, not sure what nor care, just hope he is OK, and that he can come back and play regular, as with him in the side, I think we can go places.

Aaron and his wife have had their second child very recently I would imagine that happy event is top of his list for now.

I think if we want to challenge for promotion we obviously need to winning a lot of games so there for I think we need a big squad, another CB, CM, maybe a left sided player and maybe another young striker, because if we get injures/suspensions and end up playing every Tuesday/Saturday (which we will) we don't want to being doing what they call an Oadby

Promotion !?!? Only one goes up! We have to win the title if we want to go up. That really is going to be difficult, but you have to aim high I suppose.

Last season was the first time that any R & D team were not promoted as champions so we have the pedigree to do it.
If its not Spalding "splashing the cash" this season it will be someone else next year, but are they sustainable in the long run on crowds of 100 or less and the "sugar daddy" ALWAYS goes eventually. We should know!!!!!!!!

Regarding Spalding, it's worth remembering that we're in a more competitive league this season than we were last year, the kind of league where it's not unthinkable for a mid-table side to turn over one of the top sides. unlike Division One where everything beyond the top 4 was mostly garbage.

Holbeach failed to win 9 games last season and won the league by 8 points.
