Out of interest are we going to be announcing departures? I don't think there was anything on the OWS about Newman, and let's be honest players like Okechukwu, Cox, Gilsenan and O'Grady aren't going to get a game this season, have we actually 'released' anyone? (for lack of a better word).

As only 3 contracted players guess our only signed players are those 3 & the new signings. But agree if any of last years squad decide to move on when club is aware something on OWS would be good just to keep fans informed.

You have to give the management time to sort things out with the players guys n gals, some players who we want to keep may have offers or want to move on, tis early, some clubs are only starting their preseason training this weekend.

All is in hand I'm sure. Exciting looking ahead to the new season isn't it??? Can't wait !! :D

I meant to add that I think the club do a fantastic job of communicating things to the fans, they just have to wait until the right time to do things. Remember as well, everyone at the club is a volunteer doing this in addition to their busy work and family lives, it's easy to forget that sometimes.

I'm sure comment from BartonRaz & certainly mine were in no way a criticism of the OWL just comments & it would be nice if as developments do come about either way they are reported. Jake has moved on but he did his bit for the Club in its first year. So good luck to him in the future & looking at the players that have come in don't think we should be remotely concerned by his departure.

Newman's departure was announced on the official website, unless I'm wrong. I know it was definitely announced on Twitter, as that's where I first heard the news.
