Don't think we'll see a lot of sliding tackles because of the artificial turf. A lot of Rugby League players have complained about it because of it taking skin off their knees etc. Good to be back playing in proper stadiums though :)

Can't see many of our fans travelling all that way just for a friendly.

I was looking forward to a proper away day in terms of length, now very excited at visiting a 'proper' Stadium again. Can't wait!

You have a well earned reputation for being a great traveller ;) however I'm a lightweight and 145 miles each way plus 5 plus hours driving is not my idea of fun just for a friendly match of which I'm not a great fan of. A 250 mile round trip to York yesterday was enough for me.

I thought Winsford was going to be far enough but this is even further away.

The club will be running a coach and as a member you could travel return for just £15 :)

I'm looking at it this way, if there's 2 people in a car sharing petrol costs, plus £5 admission, you're probably only looking at £25 per person for a day out. You'd pay that in admission and parking to go and watch the Cobblers. It's a short drive from Liverpool and the (perhaps undesirable) coast so it's not your average away day.

That's before you've factored in the opportunity to go on the coach which could save more money.
