Lost 1-0, not a great start to pre-season, but hey ho. Wasn't there so can't comment on the performance.

Performance was ok, AFC were the better team and R&H stole it from a lapse of concentration at the back. Dunks looks able in what he's set out to do as a target man, Koriya looks to have quick feet and speed and King looked a class above when he came on. A lot of games to go before the start to make real judgement

Not a lot to keep us awake until King and Koriya came on and injected a bit of energy into the game. We've got to get King signed up ASAP as he's got so much ability.
Anybody know who the trialist was at right back? I thought he looked quite good. Jamal Clarke in the centre was a bit erratic. Nice to see some of the younger squad members get a run out too.

They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Louis Smith looked a different player from when he joined BPW. He'll be pushing for a place in the team no doubtBartonRaz wrote: Nice to see some of the younger squad members get a run out too.

Notable things from the game:
- Dunkley looked very good in the air and won everything. The problem was that Alfie watched him win everything, rather than anticipating him winning everything and getting on the end of it. That'll iron itself out in pre-season though.
- Koriya (I think it was?) missed a sitter after coolly cutting back to eliminate the defender and then blasted over. I'd rather he missed them in pre-season than in April.
- King showed his usual few flashes of brilliance with some nice touches.
- I thought Liburd looked promising.
- Everyone was wearing short sleeves and shorts and realised it was really cold in the shade. I'm glad it didn't go to extra-time/penalties!
It's the first game of pre-season, I couldn't care less about the result. We had lots of possession, created a few chances, that'll do.
