Has he signed on for next season yet and can the powers that be offer him a contract?

Ricky.

He's now registered to play for us in the UCL. As for a contract well that's up to the management and board to decide, not the fans.

Even if a contract was in the offering, and like Trek said there are those within the Club either appointed or elected to make those decisions on our behalf, they would not be able to do anything by the start of the season as  Oh yes said player not around as on holiday  A contract is if nothing else a sign of commitment :!: from both parties.
Not sure why other than our fan base is historically used to a professional club with full time players we are getting hung up on contracted players. I would think the complete UCL only has about a dozen players under contract, and even the likes of Bedford Town at level 3 would only have season long arrangements.
I am much happier having non contracted players who are happy to drop 1/2 levels because they can see something good going on and want to be part of it for less money than they may have been getting, than lots of highly paid contracted players who are, with the odd exception (Lewis Hilliard) about as loyal as a hungry pet Crocodile. Yes the previous line is an anagram for "St Neots Town & bubble bursting"

Absolutely agree Brownie. Having a lot of contracted players at this level is a considerable financial risk, I think the club have got it dead right so far. If a player wants to walk away for an extra fiver, or because they're not first choice every week, or they think we train too much, then fair enough, there are plenty around who will buy into what we are trying to achieve.

Dear Sid,
Welcome to my world of "Common Sense Logic and Reason", you are indeed the first member of this forum to be offered TRIAL membership of the afore mentioned Club, I have considered others but they always go and blow it, wonderful game this footy for allowing so many varying opinions on one simple subject matter. Though a note of caution,
Great care should be taken in all that you write or say, as it`s oh so easy to take your membership away. And should one stray from the path of logic and reason, to the CSL & R Club this is regarded as treason.
So keep all that appears on our forum as logical opinion or wit, while other Clubs fill theirs with garbage & sh.t.
