Good stuff. I didn't realise Sam Brown would have seen the Leeds game - he'd have been about 7 at the time. Watching the Heggs goal you get reminded of what a scramble that was. I'm not sure I want to remember the Yeovil game again though - I think that offside "decision" sealed the fate of R&DFC - or at least hastened the end.

Na he wasn't that old, 6 & a bit.
My memory of the Heggs goal prior to seeing the highlights the next day was not the same as others. 4 hours in the car, got stuck at end of M1 ground in sight but couldn't get to it considered letting tyre down and abandoning it. Goal scored while I was running across the car park.
Who's turn will it be next to score by accident from half way line.
Underwood V Shrewsbury  that was a cross
Was it Brady at Sheffield Utd not sure that was a shot.

Marcus Kelly scored a famous long range wind assisted goal from just inside the opponents half in an away FA Cup tie against Bristol Rovers back in 2007. This early goal gave RDFC the lead then we proceeded to get thumped.

The Lewwis Spence goal that helped knock K*ttering out of the FA Cup was quite a surprise - not just that it was a good finish from outside the box, but that it was about the only thing he did for the Diamonds.

The Yeovil goal still makes me fume today

Not people seem to talk about the Sheffield Utd games, Bradys goal and still remember Turley with a bandage round his head saving a penalty, then the replay and Razor scoring then heart breaking losing on pens

i remember matt smith on itv fa cup highlights show saying, common sense prevailing there. the bloody yeovil player was interfering with play, obstructing the keeper. robbed.
we never had any luck against them. rankine doing somersaults was the only highlight.

Rankine also scored a cracker from range when we knocked out Yeovil a couple of seasons previous 3-1
