Yeah I noticed they were playing only a few miles down the road, 2 places neither team could have imagined they'd be going a few years ago, but still nice that we're going to have a lot of new grounds to visit at this level.

If we manage to get through a few rounds it would be an achievement. Having said that, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping we make the 1st round proper, to get to play a team we used to play as RDFC would be great, though 6 rounds to get through is a hell of a task and we'd have to hope for a few favourable draws.

PNS beat Yaxley 3-0 tonight in the cup as well, 292 there, very good crowd for them.
I think talk of the 1st Round is going a bit too far, IMO we'll have done extremely well to make the 1st Qualifying Round.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of ambition. But to put it in context, I can only remember 2 UCL sides reaching the competition proper and I'm getting on a bit! Buckingham and Holbeach, both in the 1980s, in todays terms the UCL was a step higher then too!

Yeah I know, I agree, though nothing wrong with dreaming imo especially with the FA Cup, I've no doubt we'd at least give anyone from a level or 2 above a good game, getting to through every qualifying round of the cup is rarely done, but it must have been done before surely?

1-1 FT - certainly sounded stressful on the radio! Merrill with a spectacular equaliser by the sounds of it.

Don't know what it sounded like on the radio but we're lucky to still be in the cup. Extremely disappointing performance and 4 or 5 players had absolute stinkers. We MUST act now re: our defence.

We've been given a lifeline by Merrill who scored an absolute cracker.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Wellingborough drew 3-3, so maybe they'll play Tuesday and we'll play Wednesday?

Radio said that we were resorting to the long ball a lot, which isn't surprising considering it was McBride and Harris in the centre of midfield. They do the same kind of thing so I think we'd only need one of them in a team at any given time.

Hopefully Liburd can give us an injection of something good in the replay.
